London Diaries Christmas Markets Tour

On the first day of our tour, in the morning we depart from Istanbul Airport on Turkish Airlines’ scheduled flight departing at 08:05. After approximately a 4-hour journey, we land at London Gatwick Airport at 09:10 local time. After passport and baggage procedures, we begin discovering London directly.

During our panoramic city tour, we see from the outside many important landmarks such as Buckingham Palace, one of England’s most iconic structures; Hyde Park, famous for its lush greenery; and Big Ben, one of the country’s emblematic landmarks, and we gain our first impressions of the city accompanied by our guide’s explanations. We take a short break at Trafalgar Square so we can rest a little and eat. After the city tour, we transfer to our hotel, free time.

In the evening, with our guests who wish, we will optionally organize the Soho & Chinatown Evening Tour. (45£)

On this tour, you will experience London’s most vibrant, colorful, and delicious evening atmosphere. In the late afternoon, departing from our hotel, we head toward the Soho & Chinatown area, the heart of London’s nightlife. After a short and comfortable journey by public transport, we begin exploring this special area, which takes on a completely different atmosphere from the daytime.

Soho, one of London’s most energetic areas, truly comes alive in the evening. Lights, crowds, music, and movement… The moment you arrive here, you feel much more clearly why London is one of the world’s most important cities.

We begin our walk through Soho’s characteristic streets. In this area filled with small theaters, live music venues, boutique bars, and restaurants, you encounter a different atmosphere at every step. While listening to the story of the district accompanied by our guide, we also witness the real life of London beyond its classic tourist face. Continuing our walk, we move on to Chinatown, one of London’s most striking areas. Streets decorated with red lanterns, restaurants offering the finest examples of Asian cuisine, and a completely different cultural atmosphere… The moment you step here, you may feel as if you have left London altogether. At the end of our tour, transfer to our hotel and overnight at the hotel. 

After breakfast, with our guests who wish, we take the full-day optional extra Big London City Tour & Winter Wonderland Tour. (£150) 

We start the day at Green Park, one of London’s most pleasant spots. As we continue along the royal route, we take a short break in the heart of the British monarchy, seeing Buckingham Palace and Victoria Memorial from the outside. Then, with an enjoyable walk along St. James’s Park, we reach St. James’s Palace, and from there we connect to the Whitehall line via Admiralty Building and Horse Guards.

Along the way, with our guide’s explanations, we have the opportunity to get to know not only the buildings we see, but also England’s political and historical past. As we continue on Whitehall, we reach the Westminster area by seeing Downing Street and The Cenotaph. Here, we experience unforgettable moments at London’s most iconic points by seeing Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben up close.

We then move on to Trafalgar Square, where we take a photo break in the company of Nelson Column, National Gallery and the Statue of Charles I. At this point, while learning important information about London’s world of art and culture, we feel the energy of the square.

We continue our tour and, with walking and short transportation transfers, reach Covent Garden, one of the city’s lively spots. With street performers, the Apple Market and its lively atmosphere, we give free time in one of London’s most enjoyable districts. Guests who wish may shop, spend time in cafés, or experience the area’s energy.

At 16:00, we head to Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, one of London’s most enchanting winter events. In this special area, where you can feel the Christmas spirit at its best, we give free time amid lights, Christmas markets, entertainment areas and food and drink stalls. Our guests may spend time here as they wish and fully enjoy London’s New Year atmosphere.

At the designated time, we begin our return journey to the hotel.

After breakfast, for our guests who wish to join, we have a full-day Oxford & Bicester Village & Christmas Markets Tour. (£150) After leaving London, our first stop is Oxford, one of England’s oldest and most prestigious university cities.

During the walking tour we will take with our guide, Radcliffe Camera, one of the city’s landmark buildings, Bodleian Library, one of the world’s oldest libraries, St. Mary the Virgin Church with its elegant architecture, and Christ Church College , which also hosted the Harry Potter films, will be seen from the outside. This walk through the historical atmosphere allows us to feel Oxford’s enchanting character up close.

Especially for the Christmas season, in this part of our tour we also have the opportunity to visit the Oxford Christmas Market set up in Oxford city center. With its illuminated streets, handmade gifts sold at wooden stalls, hot drinks, and holiday treats, this market offers one of the most enjoyable winter experiences in England. In the free time given here, our guests can both shop and fully enjoy the Christmas atmosphere.

After our visit to Oxford, with a short journey of about 30 minutes, we head to Bicester Village Outlet, one of England’s most popular shopping destinations. In this open-air shopping area featuring world-famous brands, seasonal discounts and special promotions offer very advantageous shopping opportunities. You can spend time in stylish boutiques and take a pleasant break while shopping.

At the end of the day, after this special tour where we experience the Christmas spirit and the joy of shopping together, we begin our return journey to London. Overnight at our hotel.

After the breakfast we will have at the hotel in the morning, we complete our check-out procedures. For our guests who wish, we have an optional Windsor Tour. ( 35£ ) in the morning. On this special day, unlike central London, we head to Windsor, one of England’s most elegant and historic towns.

After a relatively short journey, we arrive in Windsor and begin our walking tour. This charming town, located on the banks of the River Thames, is one of England’s most impressive spots, with both its natural beauty and historical character.

During our tour, we view Windsor Castle, one of the largest royal palaces in the world that is still actively used today, from a panoramic perspective. This magnificent structure, one of the official residences of the British Royal Family, is one of the most important symbols of English history.

As we walk along the town’s stone streets, we enjoy pleasant moments among small boutique shops, cafes, and a traditional English atmosphere. During the free time provided, our guests may wish to shop, take a walk by the riverside, or spend time in stylish cafes.

This calm and elegant atmosphere will be one of the most enjoyable and relaxing moments of the tour after the fast pace of London. After meeting at the designated time, we head to the airport.

With Turkish Airlines flight, we return to Istanbul at 17:25. With our arrival at Istanbul Airport at 00:15, our tour ends. We hope to see you on your next trip!
